• It has generally come to be accepted by fans that all Green Rangers are air headed comic relief characters. However, out of the eleven Green Rangers to appear in the show, only Joel, Bridge, Xander, and Ziggy can really be said to have been air heads, and Tommy, Adam, Carlos, Damon, Trip, Cam, and Master Phant do not really count as the official comic relief characters of their teams.
  • Alternately, Green Rangers tend to be Memetic Badasses. Tommy, Adam, and Xander anyway.
  • Subverted with Tommy. While he wasn't a comic relief character, he could be established as one of the more forgetful members of the team.
• Sacrifice the Zords! ^Explanation Refers to the senseless sacrifices of zords made by Tommy in Dino Thunder and TJ in Turbo (which came first but wasn't as well known a sacrifice)
• "It's morphin' time!"
• "AHHHH! AFTER 10,000 YEARS, I AM FREE!"

• After the first movie came out, "Rockets away!" became very popular amongst the younger viewers.
• Racist Rangers: In the first season, the black guy wears Black, speaks slang, uses a dance-based fighting style, and tends to insult the monsters racially. The Yellow Ranger was Asian, and was the only one who could understand the nerd's Techno Babble. And then in the second season the Native American guy became the Red Ranger.
• "My lips match what I say!" ^Explanation In the second season, they had to use an American actress to play the role of Rita. As such, her lips stopped moving in Japanese when she spoke.
• The Yellow Ranger has balls.
• Adam facts ^Explanation Johnny Yong Bosch is quite divisive among anime fans.
• Tommy facts ^Explanation Tommy actually fought the Megazord, without growing or summoning a zord. And won.
• Xander facts ^Explanation Xander is a Green Ranger, just like Adam and Tommy.
• Billy Mitchell ^Explanation An early fanfic name, and the fact that the admiral in Lightspeed Rescue is named William Mitchell
• Jason's film career ^Explanation Rumors that Austin St. John did gay porn. Also slash about Jason/Tommy, lampshaded in the original script for "Forever Red"
• I destroyed Zordon! ^Explanation In "Forever Red", Andros was originally supposed to brag about this.
• Tommy's crazy. ^Explanation Just look at his history. He also apparently created powers of his own for no reason, including apparently creating Dino Thunder's Big Bad.
• Tommy's faking his Ph.D. ^Explanation He showed no interest in paleontology in the first five seasons, was known for having a poor memory, and went on to stock car racing.

• Observe the viewing globe. ^Explanation In addition to being Zordon's Catchphrase, it's also the name of a series of PWP fics involving the Rangers having sex with each other or dying while Zordon and later Billy watches. Amazingly, there's actually characterization and subtext to it.
• Banned in Australia! ^Explanation "Agony in Pink", an erotic fanfic about Kimberly being tortured to death, led to a Power Rangers newsgroup being banned in Australia.
• Geography doesn't work that way. ^Explanation Judging by the show, Angel Grove is a British colony in the LA metro area with an Indian reservation, home to plains Indians, nearby. It also has jungles, glaciers, and volcanos nearby, judging by the Zord animation.
• I'm a frog? Fuck this, I'm going into anime. ^Explanation "I'm a frog?" refers to Adam's dejected line "I'm a frog..." from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. His actor, Johnny Yong Bosch, would later go on to provide voices for a number of anime, including Trigun, Code Geass and Haruhi Suzumiya.
  • I'm a frog, and I drive a van. ^Explanation Referring to the above and the Turbo movie, where Adam received a minivan zord. Reportedly, Bosch wanted Adam to complain about this one too.
• Ahm Scottish! ^Explanation In Power Rangers RPM, The Dragon Tenaya 7 questions what qualities Blue Ranger Flynn has that makes him stand out against the others. Flynn responds "AHM SCOTTISH!"
• Sex with Tommy is one of the fringe benefits of being a Pink Ranger.
  • Tommy had a fling with Taylor. ^Explanation One episode of MTV's Undressed features a guest appearance by Jason David Frank, who has an intimate scene with Alyson Kiperman, a few years before her role as Taylor on Wild Force.
• TOMMMYYYYY! ^Explanation Once Tommy appears, Kimberly goes from being one of the most competent Rangers, killing two monsters on her own, to needing to be rescued by him at least once an episode. Kat does this in season 3 and Zeo as well.
• Turbo is the worst season ever. No, Wild Force is the worst season ever. ^Explanation In Turbo, they replaced the entire cast with characters who quickly became The Scrappy, such as Justin, Dimitria, Blue Senturion, Alpha 6, TJ, and Ashley. There's actually a manifesto at Rangerboard about why Wild Force is the worst season ever.
  • In later years, it's been supplanted by "Operation Overdrive is the worst season ever" for some people.
    • Even more years later, that's been supplanted by "Megaforce is the worst season ever".
• Too much pink energy is dangerous! ^Explanation Zordon's response to Kimblery in "Wild West Rangers" when the latter questions why they can't recruit a Pink Ranger in the timeframe they were in. Famous for its absurdity, especially when taken out of context.
• The Power Rangers invented the Google Chrome logo! ^Explanation There is a logo in one of the Ninja Storm Megazords that looks like the Google Chrome logo,
• Who's Madison? ^Explanation In Power Rangers Mystic Force, Blue Ranger Madison Rocca was so Out of Focus that people started saying Nick's bike got more screentime than her.
  • Who's Gia? ^Explanation The tradition continues in Power Rangers Megaforce when Yellow Ranger Gia didn't get a single focus episode.
• The Red Ranger needs a manicure ^Explanation The Wild Force rangers are the only rangers to date with claws on their gloves.
• Why do people complain about Justin being 12? Operation Overdrive had a 2-year-old, and he was pretty cool! ^Explanation The Red Overdrive Ranger, Mack, was actually an android who was built 2 years before the series beginnings despite physically being a 17 or 18-year-old. (which raised further eyebrows on why his father built him like that...)
  • iMack ^Explanation In a similar vein, poking fun at Mack being a robot and referencing the popular Apple computer.
• Will! Don't steal anything on your way out! ^Explanation A College Humor video called "Zordon is a Racist" parodied Will from Operation Overdrive in a scene. Will was not only black, but a Black Ranger and a professional thief, leading to Unfortunate Implications, which wasn't helped by his actor stealing a banner meant to be auctioned for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
• Ronny has zordgasms and loves drills.
• Conner is addicted to power-ups. ^Explanation Conner has the same Super Dino Mode power-up the whole team has, the same Battlizer every Red Ranger has, PLUS he has a "Triassic Ranger" transformation that requires him to steal energy from the other four rangers.
• Power Rangers New Powers! They have powers, that are new! ^Explanation The fandom had quite a reaction to the poor explanation for the existence of the nameless five core Dairangers in Super Megaforce. This culminated in this parody trailer, popularizing the Fan Nickname "Power Rangers New Powers" for the Dairangers. The nickname itself was derived from the frequency of the words "new powers" during the first Dairanger scene.
  • Power Rangers Blitz! ^Explanation Three episodes later we got the sudden and completely unexplained appearance of the equally nameless Maskmen and Flashmen. Fans call the former "Blitz Rangers" from Gia's line "Legendary Ranger Blitz!" A similar trailer was made as "Power Rangers Blitz New Powers". Flashman finally got its official ranger name in the Unlimited Power comic Heir to Darkness, in which the name was confirmed to indeed be Prism.
• "There's a simple explanation for that." ^{Simple Explanation} Said by Gosei when he's about to explain why Jake's Super Mega mode is green instead of black, only to get interrupted by an attack. This has since become the go-to line for any of Super Megaforce's plot holes (including the lazy inclusion of Super Sentai-only suits as noted above).
• Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh ^Explanation The catchphrase of the fandom's acceptable target, Jason David Frank.
• "Guys, I'm the new Blue Ranger! Isn't that cool or what!?" ^Explanation Said by Justin, a twelve-year-old kid, in Turbo. He's not joking, either. Fans detested the addition of a Kid-Appeal Character, and this line is usually used to sum up why.
• I've been certified turtlefied! ^Explanation What DECA the Sapient Ship says in Power Rangers in Space in the crossover with Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation after being reprogrammed by the Brainwashed and Crazy Turtles.
• Shovels: A Ranger's greatest weapon. ^Explantion Dino Charge had a surprising amount of unmorphed fight scenes with shovels as weapons.
• Princess Shayla wants your morphers... and your jackets. ^Explantion In the Wild Force finale, Princess Shayla inexplicably demands that the Rangers give her their jackets, which has been seen universally as a pretty dickish move. The fandom has endless fun with it.
• Keeper killed the dinosaurs, but he's still a better mentor than Jii and Gosei. ^Explanation Dino Charge mentor Keeper accidentally caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, but his advice and knowledge have made him a better mentor in the eyes of fans compared to Jerkass Mentor Jii and living Deus ex Machina Gosei.
• I'M A GUARDIAN OF THE EARTH! RAHH! ^Explanation A particularly over-the-top line delivered by Cole in Wild Force.
  • I don't know much about (pause) spaceships. ^Explanation A strangely-delivered line from Cole in Forever Red.
• IT'S A BOMB!!! ^Explanation A line shouted out by Sledge in Dino Charge when he realizes that Keeper tricked him into thinking he obtained the Energems when in fact he actually received an explosive.
• "Say my name." "Zordon." "You're God damn right." ^Explanation With the revelation that Bryan Cranston was playing Zordon in the 2017 movie reboot, the Breaking Bad refs went flying.
• The Dino Charge Rangers managed to destroy earth and several years of continuity in a single episode. ^Explanation The controversial finale of Dino Super Charge involved the Rangers accidentally sending Earth into a black hole, going back in time to save it, and not only doing that but also preventing the extinction of the dinosaurs. This ends up placing the Dino Charge universe in yet another separate continuity a la RPM.
• "The evil pizzas were no match for a simple stoplight." ^Explanation Said by the Blue Senturion, who stopped a pizza-controlled Lightning Cruiser and Storm Blaster by making a stoplight with his body and allowing the mind-controlling pizzas to fall off.
• When Saban began streaming the entire series on Twitch in celebration of the new movie, many new memes began sprouting up, thanks to the infamous inane Twitch chat, including:
  • BLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL! ^Explanation Said whenever Putties appeared to fight the rangers, in reference to the noises they made
    • CAWCAWCAWCAW ^Explanation Similarly, used for the Tengas in season 3.

  • TOMMY AFK ^Explanation Said whenever stock footage constraints kept Tommy out of the action temporarily, AFK meaning "away from keyboard". It has since been expanded to showing up whenever the Rangers of the current season need help, even if (or especially if) Tommy is not part of the season at all.

  • Referring to Bulk and Skull as Roadhog and Junkrat, due to their Fat and Skinny similarities and Skull and Junkrat having signature laughs.
  • ???????????? ^Explanation The standard reaction to a Deus ex Machina or a plot point that makes no sense.
  • Spamming the KappaPride emote during a Ho Yay moment.
  • 18+ ^Explanation Said whenever something mature (or anything the chat considers mature) occurs, including suggestive lines and rather revealing outfits being shown off.
  • FAKE NEWS ^Explanation Said whenever a news report is shown or mentioned.
  • Spamming the chat with random letters whenever someone is shown typing on a computer.
  • Spamming the lyrics to the current show's theme song whenever it plays, even as an instrumental.
  • #NotMyRangers ^Explanation First said when Rocky, Adam and Aisha replaced Jason, Zack and Trini as rangers, but is said whenever a ranger replacement takes place or are reminded of past rangers.
    • #NotMyX ^Explanation Similar to the above, but where X is anything that used to be in the show, for example, #NotMyZordon, said when Dimitria replaced Zordon as the rangers' mentor.
  • The Waiting Room ^Explanation Said in anticipation of either a well known episode (Forever Red Waiting Room), a specific season (Zeo Waiting Room), the arrival of a new ranger (Gold Ranger Waiting Room), or a series that isn't planned on being shown at all (VR Troopers Waiting Room).
  • FIX IT, BILLY! ^Explanation Whenever the stream went down, the chat was quick to call for Billy to get the stream back online.
    • WE RERUNNING, BOYS ^Explanation Whenever the stream came back on, the previous episode shown before the crash was shown instead of starting the current episode over.
  • SELLOUTS! ^Explanation Said whenever a trailer for the movie played in-between episodes.
  • KIM GONE, RITA GONE, ZEDD GONE, ZORDON GONE, BILLY GONE, ALPHA IS RUINED, BULK AND SKULL ARE MONKEYS, JUSTIN WON'T DIE, JASON GONE ^Explanation A Madness Mantra spammed during Turbo's first half.

  • ANOTHER BOMB? ^Explanation Said whenever Divatox's plan involved setting off a bomb, which tended to happen frequently.
  • SPACE DAD ^Explanation An affectionate nickname given to Ecliptor. Also often used for Villamax due to their similar Noble Demon personalities.
  • MILLIONS DEAD / X OF PEOPLE DEAD ^Explanation Whenever a huge explosion occurs or a building is destroyed during a Zord battle (even if the show tries to explain that the building was empty), the chat utters a variation of this. There were also variations; whenever a Zord actually emerged from a building, chat would instead say "MILLIONS CONFUSED"
    • X ACTUALLY DEAD ^Explanation For RPM since most of the world actually is dead.
    • EVERYONE ACTUALLY DEAD ^Explanation Said during the finale of Dino Super Charge when Earth gets sucked into a black hole.
  • SPOILERS ^Explanation Said anytime an episode contained a Next Time On segment.
  • HARAMBE / SHINY HARAMBE ^Explanation Whenever Kai's Zord shows up, since it happens to be a gorilla. Same thing with the Gorilla Zord in Wild Force.
  • SUDDENLY JAPAN ^Explanation Said whenever Stock Footage Failure occurs, showing something like Asian bystanders, Japanese text, or a drop in video quality during the switch from American footage to Japanese footage.
    • SUDDENLY NEW ZEALAND ^Explanation Said whenever California Doubling occurs, showing what is obviously a New Zealand-like environment in what is supposed to be America (and in one case for an episode of SPD, Japan).
  • NEW TOYS / MOM GET THE CREDIT CARD ^Explanation Said whenever a new device for the Ranger team is shown, whether it be a new weapon, Zord, or power up.
  • NOW, I'M MOTIVATED! ^Explanation Eric, the Quantum Ranger in Time Force, is played by Daniel Southworth, best known for playing Vergil in the Devil May Cry series.
  • RED RANGER IS A MURDERER / REDRUM RANGER ^Explanation Ricardo Medina Jr, who played Cole, pleaded guilty in March 30, 2017 to stabbing his roommate with a sword.
  • TOMMY WISEAU ^Explanation Said whenever Master Org/Viktor Adler appears, because of his similarity to the "filmmaker".
  • HAMTARO ^Explanation The chat's nickname for Sensei Watanabe's guinea pig form, in reference to the anime of the same name.

  • CLIP THE CLIP ^Explanation Twitch started running an ad between episodes after the clips, using a clip of the Blue Alien Ranger falling down a hill to demonstrate how to make clips of episodes. The chat started wanting people to make clips of the ad itself. Eventually a clip of the ad did end up being shown.
    • OH NO OH NO OH NO OH NO / STOP CLIPPING THE CLIP ^Explanation After airing "End of Extinction", the clip was played over and over again, seemingly as a joke by the Twitch mods.
  • WHERE IS EVERYONE ^Explanation As soon as the stream started airing Operation Overdrive, the viewership took a deep drop, thanks to being considered one of the worst seasons. By the fifth episode, the viewership count was dipping below 15,000 viewers.
  • TWITCH RANGER ^Explanation The chat's nickname for RJ once he morphed into the purple Wolf Ranger, due to purple color scheme of Twitch's website. Expanded for use with Albert and Kendall when Dino Charge came around.
  • KIDS SHOW ^Explanation Said during the darker and mature moments of any season, most notably RPM.
  • ZORDON DIED FOR THIS ^Explanation Said whenever a ranger does or says something dumb, even for the show's standards.
  • WAR POSTPONED GOTTA CELEBRATE FIRST ^Explanation Said when the cliffhanger ending of Megaforce was followed up by the holiday specials that aired before Super Megaforce.
• "Batman, get in the Mastodon." ^Explanation From the third issue of the Justice League/Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers crossover. With the Justice League's teleportation systems down, Zack is Batman's ride to Australia. The similarity to another meme helps.
• Victor the undercover cop. ^Explanation Comic relief character Victor from Ninja Steel is a particularly bad case of Dawson Casting. Intended to be a high school student but fans joke he looks old enough to have a kid in high school, or a/la 21 Jump Street he's a cop working undercover.
